Belsan speaks on prayer at FCA meeting

Jacob Karsak

Derby teacher Ed Belsan spoke about prayer and A.C.T.S at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes on Monday.

He first spoke about the A, which means adoration. That means at the start of prayer praising God and giving him honor as he his Lord of all.

Second was C, which means confession. You need to give your sins to God and be honest about your sins while praying.

Third is T, which means thanksgiving. You give thanks to God for all the things he has done for you in your life whether it’s big or little.

Finally is S, which means supplication. Supplication means you pray for the needs of yourself and others.

Towards the end of his devotion he added that these things help you become a better Christian and the acronym will help you in your prayer life and become closer to God.
