Senior quarterback Braxton Clark to miss 4-5 weeks with kidney injury

According to coach Brandon Clark, it is “assumed” that senior quarterback Braxton Clark will return for the Class 6A playoffs in October after suffering a kidney injury in the Sept. 22 game at Hutchinson.

“Braxton will be OK, though,” Brandon Clark said.

Braxton Clark suffered a lacerated kidney and was taken to a hospital and released Sunday afternoon.

Clark finished out the game against Hutchinson even after his injury and led the Panthers to a 27-17 win to improve to 3-1 with their third straight victory.

Junior defensive back Easton Splane will start at quarterback in Friday’s Homecoming game against Campus.
