On Monday, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes took part in the Kansas FCA Legacy Call-a-thon. About 20 members from the Derby FCA club along with 10 from Andover took part in it.

Each student was given a list of 25 names and phone numbers — people who have previously donated to FCA — along with a short script to read.

Huddle leader Jodie Karsak was told by the Kansas Regional FCA director that the night surpassed her expectations.

The FCA organization said tens of thousands of dollars in donations were possibly made.

“I was really proud of the kids and the way they got out of their comfort zone,”

Karsak said.
