Do you like to garden? Are you looking for a club that will bring you closer to the earth?

If so, Gardening Club is perfect. Derby High School first started Gardening Club this year after sophomore Karina Salinas showed interest in starting it.

“Karina came up to me and asked if I could help her make gardening club. I thought it would be a fun project,” junior Sydney Smith said.

On Wednesday they made their first purchase at Lowe’s for supplies. So far they have planted catnip, lavender, peppers, cucumber and more.
