Panther’s Tale staff writer Jessica Perea polled students during lunch on Monday about the bond issue on Feb. 20.

Of 13 students polled, only five students knew about the bond issue. Eleven said they’d vote yes if they could vote, while two said they’d vote no.

Ashley: “I’ve never heard about this bond issue, but I bet it would benefit everyone in some way.”

Jay: “Never heard of this before. But I would (vote) for it because the tennis courts could definitely be fixed up.”

Allen: “I heard of it, but I don’t think we need anything else in Derby. They are just wasting money at this point.”
