The Senior Art Showcase is from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. tonight in K-hall at Derby High School.

The teachers of the art department take their students’ best projects and put them on display.

Art teacher Amy Garza separated her students’ work by class — placing all fundamental classes work together and all advanced drawing and painting classes work together. The AP class’ work is on display on the walls leading into K-hall.

Seniors Jaycie Novak, Maggie Smith, Nyra Brown, Dawn Mullen and Madalyn Liebst have their best projects throughout the year on display for the showcase.

“I am hoping it will be a lot of fun. Hoping a lot of people will come,” Garza said.
