Sentimental goodbye to the class of 2018 from a junior

Promise Asher

It’s not typical for me to become too sentimental about things. I am usually someone who is able to close doors and await new ones to open.

But watching the seniors go, that’s a different story.

Over the past year I have grown closer to so many seniors in the class of 2018. They are such a diverse bunch, and all of them that I have come to known have changed me for the better.

While I am excited to see what the future holds for every one of them, I cannot help but get emotional thinking about them moving away.

So here is to the seniors.

For all the advice you have given, all the smiles you have caused, your humor that is so unique, it never makes me fail to smile.

As I couldn’t help but choke up listening to the gift speeches from senior executive student council members, I know it will be even worse on graduation day.

  • Sincerely, a bittersweet junior, class of 2019
