Caitlyn Dunn: Retrospective on Homecoming

Caitlyn Dunn

When I think of Homecoming, I think of the crowded mall, the smell of hairspray, high heels that nobody can walk in but still buy them for pictures, and music we have listened to since our first sixth grade dance.

Homecoming is days away, and most girls are thrilled.

And so am I.

But after this week, I can’t wait to be in the dog house with my bank. I can’t wait to be getting a call from them asking for their money back because i just spent $200 on dress, heels, nails and hair done.

Homecoming wasn’t always as crazy as now.

My mom was telling me she used to wear flared-out jeans, a plain T-shirt and her hair 10 feet tall. But that was back in the ‘90’s.

We’re in 2018. We are too classy to be going in just jeans and a T-shirt.

Go and have fun spending all week trying to gather up fabulous things for this one night. Stay classy not trashy.
