Drama’s upcoming play utilizes hilarity, chaos

Drama will have its production of Noises Off on Nov. 8 at 7 p.m., as well as on Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Senior Jamie Black plays Frederick Fellowes in the play.

“He is an actor who gets nosebleeds easily when he hears or thinks about blood and gore. He is also a little dumb, and he always second guesses himself,” Black said. “Playing him has been a lot of fun, and it has challenged me as an actor.”

Black thinks that overall the play is hilarious and chaotic.

“I think Act 2 is the most chaotic part of the show. The whole set turns around 180 degrees and shows the backstage setting of an ‘onstage’ performance,” Black said. “Everything goes wrong in the onstage play, and we see all of the chaos happening backstage between the actors. There are a lot of love triangles in the show and lots of sardine props.”
