In August, the Panther marching band was one of the first to be featured on KWCH’s Battle of The Bands, which pitted bands in a competition.

Derby and Goddard were the bands in the first round. During the band’s rehearsal a cameraman filmed the performance.

That Friday a video was uploaded showing each band’s show; fans voted and Derby won that round.

Since that first round, eight other rounds — involving new bands each time — occurred. Now these nine winners are in the playoffs.

Voting for the grand champion closes on Nov. 9.
