Kansas provides ACT free to juniors

On Wednesday, the juniors took the ACT, which was provided for free by the state.

For many of the juniors, they often don’t study for the first time they take it.

Junior Jillian Wedman said she studied two months before taking the test.

“I think a reason that the ACT wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be, is that we’ve prepared for it before taking the Aspire test and going over stuff in class,” Wedman said.

Some find it easy while others struggle.

“The English part was ridiculously easy, but the other subjects were quite difficult,” junior Jay Warrick said.

The ACT is five tests, but the juniors only took four.
