Journalism student of the day: Kiley Hale

Kiley Hale

Sophomore

Yearbook photographer, writer, designer

Sophomore Kiley Hale entered the yearbook staff with the kind of attitude that any adviser, editor, staff member appreciates — she was willing to work.

Need a story? She’s got it. Need photos? She can do that, too. One of her tennis photos will be used as a divider in the yearbook.

Now she’s even designing a spread for the 2019 yearbook, which will be released in August.

Hale, who races BMX and plays tennis, is definitely outgoing, so she fits in with those talkers in Block 2 Yearbook — Regina Waugh, Kendal Meyer and Reagan Cowden.

“I like journalism because it’s fun to meet new people and talk to people that I would never get to talk to,” said Hale, whose favorite movie is the Outsiders.

As for what she’d spend $10 on — it’s got to be as many cups of Sonic sweet tea as possible.

Hale is a wonderful addition to yearbook, and I look forward to her taking on a larger leadership role next year.
