Panthers football opens season with 29-point victory

The Panthers started the season off with a bang and continued to be lockdown on defense in a 48-19 victory at Garden City.

Senior quarterback Grant Adler showed he is back as he accounted for five touchdowns. Adler had three rushing touchdowns, including an 81-yard run. Adler also threw two touchdowns to Tre Washington. 

Washington complemented Adler with one rushing touchdown and three receiving touchdowns, including one touchdown from backup quarterback Lem Wash.

The Panther defense didn’t missed a beat in its debut, holding Garden City scoreless until late in the third quarter.

Derby is 1-0, while Garden City is 0-1.
