There are plenty of people who have an iPhone 4s or lower but very few have an iPhone 5. Some simply got an upgrade that allowed them to get an iPhone 5. Katharine and John Doerksen, both got their hands on one.
“I had the iPhone 4 before I got the 5,” sophomore John Doerksen said. “My contract expired and I needed a new one.”
There are plenty of new and exciting things about the iPhone 5 such as a bigger screen, an extra row of apps and cleaner, sharper images.
A lot of the DHS students do not have the money to pay for an iPhone 5, so usually a parent helps them out. In sophomore Katharine Doerksens’ case, her parents paid for her’s.
“My parents paid for my phone because they just always pay for mine and my brothers phones,” Katharine said.
Everyone has seen Apple’s commercials claiming they have the best coverage, but who really does? The yearbook teacher, Kelly Glasscock and The Doerksen’s have AT&T, but science teacher Michael Phillips has Sprint.
The only one that had any complaints about their phone carrier was John by saying it was slow on 4G LTE.
“I chose the iPhone because I like the iOS operating system better than the Android,” John said.
Apple fanatics were able to get the new iPhone immediately, while others were left envying their peers’ latest gadget.
