Football beats Campus behind Tre Washington, Lem Wash

Campus. Derby. Rivalry. 6.2 miles between the two towns, and no love to be shared.

Derby came in looking to stay undefeated — and the Panthers did just that with the 54-27 victory.

The Panthers struck fast with a score within the first two minutes, thanks to senior running back Tre Washington.

In Wash’s second start for injured quarterback Grant Adler, Wash added four more touchdowns to his resume, with two on the ground and two through the air to senior tight end Jake Karsak.

Washington also added another score after his first drive touchdown.

The Panthers play their home finale against Maize on Oct. 25 in a battle of undefeated as both teams enter the game at 7-0.
