Q&A with senior lineman Alex Conn

Callie Knudson

Senior offensive lineman Alex Conn, who has committed to play football at Nebraska, will play in his final football game at Panther Stadium.

Q: How does it feel playing at Panther Stadium for one last time?

A: “I’m really happy about it, I’m happy I get to play with my brothers and I get to have one more game on our home field with them. But it’s also sad because it’s the last time that I’ll be playing on this field and I’m going to do the best I can.”

Q: What emotions are all of you seniors feeling during these last two weeks?

A: “A little bit of frustration and worry, a lot of tension going on because we’re trying to do everything perfect and make sure everything goes smoothly.”

Q: What’s it like knowing you’re leaving for college in six months?

A: “It’s bittersweet. I’m excited to play at Nebraska, but I also don’t want to leave my family back here.”

Q: How does it feel to be able to play with your brother, Dylan, for the past two years?

A: “Honestly, he’s kind of weird but I enjoy it, my mom enjoys it, and he just gets to bum free rides off me.”
