Q&A with senior basketball player Nick Bonner
January 29, 2020
Q: How do you play differently now than your freshman year?
A: “One main thing would be my confidence.… I like playing basketball more than I did back then, so I have more motivation to do good.”
Q: How do you push yourself to be better?
A: “I want to be the best I can be every time I play…. I also love basketball so it makes me want to work harder.”
Q: Do you have any pre-game rituals?
A: “I always read 1 Peter 5:7 before every game.”
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Q: How does it make you feel being named to the all-tournament team and being the leading scorer in the McPherson tournament?
A: “It was cool being named to the all-tournament team and being the leading scorer from the MIT, but it was just another three games that our team got better, and that’s what matters.”
Q: How are you going to prepare yourself to play the No. 1 (Campus) and No. 2-ranked (Blue Valley Northwest) teams back to back?
A: “We’re going to prepare ourselves to play just like we would with any other team.”
Q: What is the team doing to prepare to play Hutchinson on Tuesday?
A: “We’re working hard and doing what we normally do to be ready.”
