Movies to watch in honor of Black History month

Jordan Parcell

Movies have always been a big part of American culture, and black culture in particular.

Trailblazers such as Tyler Perry, who writes, directs, produces and acts, have helped tell the story of African-Americans in our country. Movies like Hidden Figures help illustrate the struggles that African-American citizens have always faced in America.

Watching some of these movies might help you understand, to some extent, what it is to be a black American or otherwise provide quality entertainment.
