He has told law enforcement that he’s been living with his uncle because he doesn’t want to have to be in foster care. The police know his uncle hasn’t been in the state for three months and have told John B. to pack his things because DCS will be by to get him.

Even though he is told that he’s going to be put in foster care, he’s determined to finish his dad’s journey and find the treasure that his father never could. Kiara, J.J., and Pope decided to help him but they all ended up in a lot of unfortunate and dangerous situations.

Once you’re a couple episodes in, you meet J.J.’s dad. His father is abusive and also an alcoholic, which will be held against him as people think he’ll end up like him.

The end of the season is mixed with a lot of different conflicts and emotion which causes John B. a lot of stress. He is told about what really happened to his father and then is framed for murder.
