Students getting moved to online due to close contact with covid-19

It’s an odd experience for students when they are pulled out of class only to be told they must be quarantined due to close contact with someone who tested positive for Covid-19.

“Getting pulled out was weird,” junior Kayleigh Johnson said. “The process and the amount of kids getting pulled was stressful but remote has been kind of good for me even though the workload feels like a lot more. I think it’s been less stress on me.” Johnson is being quarantined until this friday.

It does frustrate students, though, when their classmates or staff wear their masks incorrectly — or not at all.

“I have seen teachers and students not wearing their masks, and it’s kind of frustrating in my opinion,” sophomore Aden Bush said. “School is like the same as before except there’s less people. And I’m scared of having to switch to online (because) it’s really hard for me since I’m more of a hands-on learner.”
