Wear your masks properly

Wear your masks properly.

You should wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before touching your mask to prevent bacteria from transferring.

With a regular surgical facemask, there should be a bendable edge that molds around your nose. That side is the top and it should cover your nose.

Not below, but over your nose.

The bottom of the mask should be secured under your chin and the sides should be snug against your face.

While wearing a mask, try to refrain from touching it. That will contaminate it and defeat the whole purpose of wearing one.

When you take your mask off, pull on the strings behind your ears or head.

There are some students and teachers who don’t practice these simple techniques, and it can make those feel very unsafe during the current pandemic.

Wearing masks in the correct way protects others.
