For a lot of returning sports players, there was little anxiety for the first game of the season but for those who are new it can be an anxious time. 

“Last year I was a transfer so it was way more hectic but this year I feel more comfortable,” Boettjer said.

Not having fans would prove to be odd. 

“Oh yeah definitely, it’s going to feel like a scrimmage, We will be each other’s hype men,” Boettjer said.

Freshman Madison Smith, though, was anxious.

“A little nervous,” she said.

But when asked about the fans she replied in the same way.

“No, I would rather have fans but I don’t think it would be too big of a difference,” Smith said.
