Mbezi: Three post-pandemic plans

Agness Mbezi, Copy Editor

Covid-19 has been hard. That’s an understatement to say the least, and we all know that it has. But I’m trying to stay optimistic by thinking about the three things that I will do after COVID ends.

One, I need to associate with all of my friends. It’s been too long since I’ve gotten to hug them, blast music in the car with them, have late night IHOP runs or go skating. I miss that.

So when this is over, I’ll be with my friends and family doing all the things we used to do. We might even have a bonfire where we burn all our masks.

The next thing I will do is pack my things and head to Bali. My family usually takes a big vacation annually, along with a few small ones.

I was supposed to go to Tanzania this year and visit friends and family, but that got thrown out the window. So I’ll be taking at least a week off to stay at the beach, go hiking and experience the joy of learning about different cultures.

After that, you can spot me at a basketball game. Obviously basketball is my favorite sport, so not being able to see our high school play basketball in-person sucks. But I also want to see NBA basketball. I want to go see Giannis Antetokounmpo play against the splash brothers, or the Lakers.

This pandemic has been so long, that I often laugh when I see memories on my phone, telling me what I did one year ago. I want to make new memories, and just get past being bored in the house.
