Freezing Weather Casts Doubt on In-Person School

Hailey Jeffery, Production Editor

Many students and teachers thought Derby Schools would cancel in person school and go to remote learning on Feb. 11 because of the freezing weather.

“I did think school was going to be canceled because it hasn’t been this cold in a long time,” junior Lauryn Jones said.

Others thought that Derby Schools would continue in-person.

“I didn’t (think that in-person would be canceled) but I was really hoping. It is just too cold, and I really just wanted to stay in my warm home,” junior Erin Anderson said.
