Lunch rules changed — again

The school has recently changed lunch rules by limiting students to the commons, G-hall and by the vending machines in K-hall.

When school started, students could eat wherever they wanted in the school as a way to social distance when students’ masks don’t wear their masks while eating. So students sat on the benches in hallways, near the gym area or on the lower level next to the library.

There are several reasons for this change, a main one being the supervision of students.

“We changed the rules because of the PE classes going on at the time of the lunches,” assistant principal Alison Strecker said. “Students were also leaving the school during lunch, and it’s just easier to monitor them this way.”

Strecker explained how students were disrupting PE classes and not paying attention to the rules.
