What are your feelings about placing in state? 

“ Since I was the only freshman so it felt really good. I had to beat a junior out and a senior forfeited and that is how I got 5th place. The girl that took first place I beat once so I am ready for next year. I’ll come for her.” 

How does it feel to be the first girl to place in State? 

“Oh my god, I was so excited. This was my goal coming into high school. The date is all the way back to 1965 and there is no girls and I am one of the first girls”

What are your goals in the future?

“I want to place in all my four year in high school just like six other guys here. I also want to be a state champ.”

What makes you motivated doing this? 

“I know there is little girls that just started at the derby kids club and I know there are looking up in high school and they are like ‘oh I want to do that,’ that is what kinda motivates me.”
