With a 64-31 win over the Wichita Southeast Buffaloes on Saturday, the Panthers girls basketball team clinched a spot in the Class 6A state tournament.

“It’s definitely a great feeling to have,” said sophomore Addy Brown, whose team qualified for state for the sixth straight season. We work hard every day in practice because we want to make it to the end.”

The state quarterfinal games will be held at the higher seed’s school based on predetermined matchups, while the semifinals and title game are at Koch Arena on Friday and Saturday.

The Panthers will travel and take on the 20-1 Dodge City Red Demons.

The two teams met last year in the second round of substate at Derby. This year they will meet in the first round of state at Dodge City High School.

The Panthers play on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
