Blood Drive

The American Red Cross yearly blood drive, available to those 16 and older, is Thursday in the wrestling room.

There are weight requirements, including males must be at least 110 pounds, while females’ weight is based on their height.

Students who are 16 need a parent release form, and those who have the Covid-19 vaccination are still eligible to donate.

There are 22 appointment slots still open on Thursday, ranging from 10:15 a.m.-2:15 p.m.

If you have any questions or want to schedule an appointment, email teacher Sara Wilson at [email protected]

We asked some students why it’s important to give blood?

Abigale Bringhurst:“I think it’s important for people to give blood because it could end up helping someone who is very sick and needs it.”

Jarron King:“Because I’m healthy, I have the blood, and I can give it to somebody that needs it .”
