With two band concerts in the school’s final month, it’s been a crazy time.

“It is stressful because the seniors are always ready to be done, and we want them to have a great last experience, but it is always worth it after the performance,” band director Adam DeVault said.

The Concert Band will perform on Monday at 7 p.m., while Jazz Band performed on May 6.

This year has been different than most due to Covid-19, so of course the band was affected.

The positive is band is now able to play with larger audiences due to the loosened restrictions.

“We performed on (May 6), and the band played very well, especially with only about five weeks to put everything together,” DeVault said.

The band also held a concert with the Varsity Band in April when DeVault brought in wind and percussion faculty from WSU to help run an in-house music festival.

“We tried to recreate our concert and festival season for those students while also focusing on student safety,” DeVault said.

Orchestra will have its concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
