Swim, track excel at AVCTL I meets

On Saturday the girls swim and dive team took first place at the AVCTL I meet with 532 points.

Sophomore Ana Self won first in Dive and Junior Lexi Silva placed third. 

In the first event, the medley relay team, consisting of sophomore Mia Dreiling swimming backstroke, sophomore Anna Arbogast breaststroke, sophomore Elizabeth Barclay butterfly, and junior Marlee Moeder finishing with freestyle. They won with a time of 1:58.17, a new PR.

On Thursday, the girls track team took second place in the AVCTL meet with 120.50 points, just behind Maize South’s 129 points.

Top three finishers include:

Senior Callie Knusdon, first place in javelin.

Sophomore Mayciee Bell, first place in 100 meter hurdles and 300 meter hurdles. 

Senior Aneesa Abdul Hameed, first place in 100 meter dash, second in the 200 and second in the 400.

Freshman Katie Hazen was third in the 3200

Chloe Igo was third in the 200, second in the 300 hurdles.

The girls won the 400 relay.

The girls were third in the 3200 relay, as were the boys.

Rylan Syring was second in the girls long jump.

Jonas Vickers was second in the shot put.
