Cadets from AFJROTC will hold a 9-11 ceremony at 8:05 a.m. Friday by the flag pole.

“Tomorrow is the 9-11 Patriot Day ceremony,” Col. Michael Dillard said on Thursday. “It’s to remember those who died on 9-11 for this country, a terrorist attack that we had in New York.”

All the lives that were lost on this date 20 years ago will be honored with the color guard, formation and moment of silence.

Armed Forces appreciation night is Friday night during the football game, the season opener against Newton, which starts at 7 p.m.

“There will be a section for all of the AFJROTC kids,” senior cadet Shallon McGowan said.

Members will be doing push-ups for when the Panthers score.
