Football rolls to win at Salina South

Derby traveled to Salina South Friday night, and it was well worth the drive as the Panthers improved to 3-0 with a 77-7 win.

Derby started out on fire, ending the first half up 70-0. 

Junior Dylan Edawards led the charge, scoring on the first play of the game, a 45-yard touchdown run. He had four first half touchdowns and finished with 132 rushing yards.

Senior quarterback Mercer Thatcher then added on the Panthers’ next two touchdowns. 

The Panthers capitalized on the first three possessions with touchdowns, scoring on every possession of the first half.

They also forced four turnovers.
