Manure smell tracked to students

Walking through the commons, the reeking smell of what many students described as cow manure was overwhelming on Tuesday.

Questions over the smell were the talk of fifth lunch students, questioning where and what the smell came from.

Head custodian Mindy Bacon knew exactly what happened.

“A spray bottle bought off of Amazon,” Bacon said. “Lots of kids. We have not found out who it is yet, but that is who they (administration and security) are looking for right now.”

Administration and the security officers are working to find out who has been spraying the nasty scent through the hallways.

There is no definite time frame for how long this has been happening, but one thing is for sure, this is different from other smells custodial must deal with.

“We have had other times where we have had smells in the building, we couldn’t locate them and people have thought that (the smell comes from spray bottles),” Bacon said. “But we for sure know now that it’s that. You can literally buy it on Amazon for 10 or 11 bucks, but we don’t know who yet.”
