“Spider-Man: No Way Home” tickets went on sale at 11 p.m. on Nov. 29 – or on “Spider Monday,” which is what Spider-Man fans called Cyber Monday.

“I knew it would be hard getting tickets for this movie but it was definitely way harder than I originally anticipated,” senior Macy Dowell said.

Once the tickets went on sale it did not take long for the websites to crash for everyone trying to get a ticket as soon as they became on sale.

“I set a reminder, got on immediately and it said I only had to wait in line for two minutes but as soon as that screen came up the app crashed completely,” Dowell said.

According to CNBC the tickets going on sale crashed several different movie websites, which is something that has not happened since 2019 with “Avengers: Endgame” and “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.”

“I was also checking Twitter nonstop to get the latest updates on if I was the only one experiencing issues or if it was everyone and it turns out it was everyone.” Dowel said.

The movie will be released on Dec. 17.
