Having a bad morning? Didn’t get your before-school Starbucks? Grumpy because it’s 8 a.m.?

Senior Vance Denton and sophomore Jareth Avile got your back.

The two guitarists keep the mornings light and bright for students making their rounds in the commons before the first bell.

“I guess I enjoy it a lot, and it gives me something to do throughout the day,” Denton said. “(I learned guitar) about four years back when I started lessons, and I still take them today.”

These guitarists play a variety of genres to fit everyone’s taste.

“I just try to play whatever. I usually try to stick to Irish music or bluegrass and americana,” he said.

Avile even sings in different languages

“I don’t really know songs in English, so I play songs in Spanish (like ‘Me Gustas Mucho’)and I also sing,” Avile said. “I choose to play guitar because I want people to express themselves by doing what they love.”
