Derby Publications takes first, second in KSPA contest

Cooper Chadwick, Content Editor

The Derby Publications staff participates in the Kansas scholastic press association  monthly contest each month.

This journalism contest offers a chance for journalism students across the state to get feedback and earn awards for their work during the school year instead of after the year is over.

This month two students from Derby placed in their events.

Senior Jewel Hardin placed first in academic photography, and junior Cooper Chadwick placed second in yearbook design.

Stay on the lookout for next month’s KSPA update on how the journalism students did.
