As girls swim nears its end the team prepares for their league meet this Friday. They plan to take there third AVCTL league title in a row.

“Im excited to watch everyone swim. League is exciting because its a fast pool and its where all your hard work pays off,” coach Danny Smith said.

Currently five divers are qualified for state: Mya Khanu, Kenidi Lowmaster, Ana Self, Lexi Silva, and Alexis Stanton.

24 people can go to state. Last year 10 people from the current girls team went to state.

Some girls are planning to cut off there last couple of seconds at league in hopes to qualify for state.

Junior Elizabeth Barclay is one of the swimmers hoping to cut some time at the league meet. She needs to loose 3 seconds in the 500 Freestyle.

“Im super excited I hope it goes super well. I had a really bad time last year with like my mentally so im just gonna try to stay out of my head, if that makes any sense. Im really bad about overthinking things and making things more difficult than they need to be,” Barclay said.
