Cold, rain expected for tonight’s playoff football game

The Panthers’ football games usually have a good turnout for their student section. Tonight’s cold and rainy weather may impact that turnout.

“I’m not built for this weather. I would usually go to the game, but because of this weather I’m not,” junior Zander Conner said.

The Panthers are 7-2 and playing Lawrence at 7 p.m. in the second round of the Class 6A playoffs.

The paint gang section usually shows up and is the loudest in the crowd. Because of the weather, it’s possible some may not go.

“I mean to be honest, you know, I’m in boys paint, and I’m supposed to paint. But if it’s raining, I might just stay home. I would normally go if it’s not cold, rainy and terrible,” senior Braedon Alverson said.
