Page 2 – semester brings finals struggles

It’s finals week.

Show up to school or nah?

Well, since it’s 10% of every student’s grade, it makes sense to show up to school.

Although, students hate finals.

“I hate finals,” freshman Devon Titus said. “I don’t like how we have finals. I prefer for us to have a normal test.”

“They are horrible,” sophomore Camryn Duke said. “I hate studying for finals”

The week of finals can stress out a lot of students and teachers.

“I wish we didn’t have them at all,” sophomore Margarita Barbosa said. “It causes too much stress.”

“Finals are so stressful,” sophomore Analicia Lopez said. “Especially because I got wrestling going. It’s so stressful on top of that.”

“They’re alright,” English teacher Danny Smith said. “It’s a lot of pressure to ask students to take a test on what they’ve learned.”

“Finals are stressful,” sophomore Linet Leong said. “It is stressful to me but it’s so useless.”

“Finals stress me out a lot,” sophomore Steven Herling said. ”Studying makes me wanna cry when I study for them.”

Finals are different between art and math teachers.

Airbrush teacher Roger Scovell said. “I grade them differently than all the other math teachers. We airbrush instead of doing math or calculating, so obviously, the finals should be a lot easier.”

A lot of students tend to get lazy when school is about to end, when finals usually happen.
