Managers

Every sports team is different. They all use separate equipment and have their own way of running things. Despite that, teams have one thing in common: their managers. The managers are an vital part of the team.

“Without the managers, the team wouldn’t get anything done,” sophomore girl’s basketball manager Tatum Benway said.

Managers do many things; fill up water bottles, keep things organized and fulfill their coach’s needs.

“It’s something to be responsible for and makes you feel like your a part of something,” freshman wrestling manager Savannah Gutierrez said.

The managers attend practices and games. They devote countless hours to their team.

“My favorite part of being a manager is spending time with the boys and the coaches,” senior boy’s basketball manager Mallory McCormick said. “I like getting that bond.”

With the winter sports having just begun, the managers and teams are hard at work. Boy’s swimming has two managers. There are six managers for both girl’s basketball and wrestling. The boy’s basketball team has five managers. The managers are helping their teams run smoothly and are just as important as any player.
