Deadline to purchase yearbook extended to March 1

The deadline to purchase a yearbook has been extended until March 1. We know what a crazy year this has been, and we want to make sure to give everyone a chance to purchase the book.

Not sure if you need to buy a book?

Some of the yearbook editors share their reasons why you should buy one at yearbookordercenter.com or in the finance office by March 1.

Editor in Chief Sara Brown, a senior: “A yearbook documents all of the emotions, fun and memories of a year forever. Who knows what will become of your cellphone photos and social media posts 20 years from now?

“Filled with experiences testing flexibility and delving into the unknown, this historical record is something that is so valuable because it not only documents what our teenage lives look like during a pandemic, but also highlights our values, interests and talents. This school year has been different than most and our 2021 book reflects that.”

Production editor Mya Studyvin, a senior: “I think people should be buying our yearbook this year because it’s jam-packed full of history. We cover current events, trends, sports, pop culture and so much more. Since we’re in a pandemic, it’s important now more than ever to have something tangible to remember this unprecedented time.”

Marketing editor Shaye Comes, a junior: “I think that everyone should buy a yearbook because this has been such an insane year. I would never want to forget all the crazy things that happened over the course of this year because I didn’t buy a yearbook. The staff also works incredibly hard to document all of the craziness, and not buying a yearbook would be doing them a disservice.”

Photo editor Kiley Hale, a senior: “People should buy themselves a yearbook because even though you remember the memories now, in 25 years the memories won’t be as fresh in your head. Your yearbook is perfect for when you want to look back and reminisce. Also, there’s some really fun spreads this year and so many different chances to get in the yearbook,”
