An email was sent out Tuesday from Derby Public Schools notifying all staff of a district-wide cancellation for Feb. 2.

Due to the amount of predicted snowfall tomorrow, Derby Public Schools will not be in session on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. This includes Latchkey, other extracurricular activities/practices and special events that may have been scheduled. Cooper Elementary’s Ribbon Cutting has been rescheduled for Thursday, February 10 at 1PM.

We wanted to provide ample notice for our students, staff and families as we know canceling school provides hardship for some families who will need to find safe supervision for their children if their place of employment remains open during inclement weather.

Note: Any activities/practices for Tuesday, February 1 remain on schedule.
