Parcell: Quarantine means stay the heck home

Jordan Parcell

Stay at home.

I don’t care who you are, or whether you believe you have Covid or not, if you’ve been told to quarantine, you need to stay at home.

This is my senior year and my last opportunity to be part of a marching band. This is something that I’ve been anticipating since I was a freshman.

I don’t have words strong enough to describe how irritated and heartbroken I’ll be if I don’t get to have that because of some selfish people who can’t stay at home.

What will it take for y’all to take this seriously? How many people will have to lose their lives, to lose their jobs, to lose their senior year for us to take this seriously?

This is not a joke. This is not a game. This is the reality that we’re living in.

The U.S. just passed 200,000 Covid-related deaths.

To those of you who have been told to quarantine, I beg of you, stay at home.

Don’t leave school and immediately go to a restaurant, don’t go hang out at the park, don’t go wander around Target.

Stay. At. Home.
