For most people, high school can be the best four years of their lives. For others, they feel like they’re ready to start the next chapter of their lives.

Juniors Lauren Miller and Grant Dittmer are two of the few ready to move on. They’re graduating this semester. You read that right, they’re juniors graduating at semester.

“ It was kind of towards the middle of my sophomore year,” Miller said, “I’ve been looking into acting school and modeling academies.”

Miller thinks high school isn’t the place for her. And she’s not alone, just among the lucky few to get this experience.

The process starts when an administrator recommends you take classes in the Panther Learning Center.

“I decided to graduate early at the beginning of the year when my counselor told me I could,” said Dittmer.

When asked why he thought this was a good option for him he said, “I wanted to graduate early so I could continue my education”

“ I want to go to KU for a construction degree,”  he said.
