What are people at DHS doing over break?

Winter break looks a little bit different for everybody.

Some are interested in a more laid back winter vacation.

“I’m just going to spend some time with my family and friends and relax for a couple weeks,” Senior Isaac Hadley said. “It will be nice to have some time off from school. ‘

“I’m planning on relaxing, spending time with my graduating friends, watching Christmas movies, drinking hot chocolate, and moving the elf on the shelf for my little brother,” senior Bella Moises said.

“I plan to relax, spend time with family, enjoy time with friends, and binge watch some tv,” band director Adam DeVault said.

Others are more interested in travel and experiences.

“I’m going to visit my grandma in Nevada and go thrifting with her and eat all of her good food,” Senior Kela Shnelle said. “I’m also going to spend time with my cousins, aunt, and uncle, and visit Vegas and go shopping. When I come home I will probably go to some New Years Eve parties.”

Either way students and staff of Derby High School are shaping up to have happy holidays and a happy new year.
