Band performs their marching show for first time on Friday

Friday’s football game isn’t only about playing Bishop Carroll or feature the homecoming candidates.

For the first time this season, the Derby Panther Marching Band will perform their whole show, titled “(Dis)Appear.”

The show is around eight minutes long and will be performed after the football game is over.

“I am super excited to disappear and show people our show, but we could be more prepared, and I wish it wasn’t after the game is over,” said junior Reagan Cowden, who is the visual soloist and will disappear halfway into the show.

During halftime, the band will make the tunnels for the candidates to walk through, and play for the song the Pantherettes’ dance.

The band has been working on the show since August. The band travels to Kansas State on Oct. 7 to kick off their competition season.
