The Derby Panthers travel to play at Manhattan at 7 tonight in the second round of the Class 6A football playoffs.

The Indians’ football stadium, Lew Lane Field at Bishop Stadium, is only six minutes away from the Bill Snyder Family Stadium at Kansas State University.

“That’s a pretty cool experience. We get to warm up on their practice field…,” junior Dax Benway said. “That’s going to be a great experience. It’ll be really cool to be around that facility and be a part of a great football team’s (system).”

Senior Brody Kooser agreed.

“It’s going to be fun,” he said. “It’s going to be a cool experience, go out there with the team and do something new.”
