Derby High sports recap from April 2-7

Eisenhower was a popular spot for Derby fans for activities from April 2-April 7. But some events were postponed due to inclement weather.

*Softball traveled to Eisenhower on April 3 to face Eisenhower and Dodge City.

The Panthers got the sweep, beating the Tigers 16-10 and Dodge City 14-4.

*Baseball faced Eisenhower, beating the Tigers 5-3 and 12-10.

*Girls soccer beat Eisenhower winning 2-1 after a double overtime.

On Thursday against Ark City the Panthers cruised 7-0.

After scoring both goals against Goddard and three against Ark City, freshman Brianna Moore is is the AVCTL I’s top scorer with 11 goals.

*Girls swim went to Winfield on Tuesday and Wichita Northwest on Friday.

At Northwest the girls took seventh.

*Track went to Maize on Thursday for an invitational.

*Boys varsity tennis went to Ark City on Tuesday and Newton on Thursday for invitationals.

*Boys varsity golf had two invitationals, one at Bishop Carroll on Monday and then McPherson on Thursday.

Postponed Events from April 6:

*Girls soccer against Wichita Northwest to today.

*Boys varsity tennis at Goddard to April 14.

*Softball and baseball both at Campus to April 30.
