Most fall sports came to an end around the time the newspaper went to print.
The football team went 3-0 after the loss to Maize on Sept. 26, putting up 169 points in that stretch.
The cross country boys team placed second at the AVCTL I league meet and Ben Perry finished second in 15:41, becoming the third fastest in school history. Ethan Smith finished ninth in 16.17. The girls team finished third in AVCTL I, and Ellie Rinn finished fourth in 19:31, the fourth fastest in school history. Kenadee Ellis was 10th in 20:15.
While the boys soccer team last won on Sept. 23 5-0 over Goddard, the Panthers lost two overtime games in consecutive days then fell 1-0 to Hutchinson.
The volleyball team claimed wins over Salina South and Valley Center on Oct. 7 for senior night. The Panthers also got wins over Campus and Maize on Oct. 14.
Three tennis players qualified for the 6A tournament – senior Ella Boline in singles, and senior Karlie Demel and freshman Katie Brehm in doubles. Demel-Brehm took eighth.
Senior Addison Oetken and senior Courtney Parker qualified for the Class 6A golf tournament, finishing 13th and 19th at regionals. The team finished fourth overall at regionals, just missing advancing as a team.
