Football proceeds in playoffs now being 10-0

Derby had another successful night under the beaming football lights.

A win against Dodge City, 54-7 in the second round of the Class 6A playoffs on Friday.

Derby will play against Topeka next week.

Within the first minute of the game, Davin Simms ran into the end zone scoring for the Panthers.

Hunter Igo scored two touchdowns, as did Dax Benway.

Benway also had a great interception in the end zone, preventing the Red Demons to score.

Tre Washington ran into the end zone before the half, adding onto the Panthers score 28-0 before halftime.

In the second half, Lem Wash scored two touchdowns, along with Kevion Edwards who scored one touchdown.

After Wash’s first touchdown he ran over to an ecstatic little boy to give him a celebratory high five.

The Red Devils scored in the last quarter but their season has ended with this loss.
